Recently Business Insider reported that 533 Million Facebook user Data Leaked Online in low level hacking forum including Personal Data of users hitting 106 Countries around the Globe, it was first covered by Glad on Twitter, the data including various information but this is the 3-4th news in a week when Hacking, Data Breach has taken place in a row.
Alon Gal on Twitter said “All 533,000,000 Facebook records were just leaked for free“, which showed the Leaked info went Online in a low-level form from Facebook user Data with personal information like phone numbers, Facebook IDs, full names, locations, birthdates, bio, email addresses of Millions of users from different regions.

“Gal first discovered the leaked data in January when a user in the same hacking forum advertised an automated bot that could provide phone numbers for hundreds of millions of Facebook users in exchange for a price”, but later on the hackers passed it for free to everyone who wants to use it.

Since now Facebook has not published any statement but it is suggested that the company should at least alert users to update their Passwords and Private their personal information because at this point nor facebook, neither users can do anything as everything is now public for everyone to check so its hard to takedown but all sacrificed users have only chance to update their Passwords, Change privacy settings.
Facebook Leaked data includes the personal information of 533 million Facebook users from 106 countries, including over 32 million records on users in the US, 11 million on users in the UK, and 6 million on users in India. This is a lot in terms of Database to be used by anyone and this is no far a dish to be served for Hackers usage.
“A database of that size containing the private information such as phone numbers of a lot of Facebook’s users would certainly lead to bad actors taking advantage of the data to perform social engineering attacks [or] hacking attempts,” Gal quoted to Insider reporter.
In the second statement, he says, “Individuals signing up to a reputable company like Facebook are trusting them with their data and Facebook supposed to treat the data with the utmost respect,”, “Users having their personal information leaked is a huge breach of trust and should be handled accordingly.”
This is not the first time Facebook for this huge data leak, but the only point is this time Facebook hands are washed and clean, where in past they have done things to make Trump Win the election in the US.
