Samsung Galaxy lineup of smartphones is all set to get another new device to its portfolio in India with the launch of a new quad-camera offering. Well, the Samsung Galaxy M31 Prime has been teased on Amazon India with the ‘Coming soon’ tag hinting that it could be launched during the upcoming Amazon Great Indian Festival Sale that is all set to debut on October 17.
Samsung Galaxy M31 Prime Specifications & Features:
The design of the Galaxy M31 Prime is practically identical to that of the Galaxy M31. It has a waterdrop notch and the rear cameras and fingerprint scanner are in the same position as that of its sibling. However, the M31 and M31s both sport FullHD+ AMOLED screens having a diagonal of 6.4″ and 6.5″, respectively. So we expect something similar on the M31 Prime.
Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy M31 Prime will be powered by an octa-core Exynos 9611 processor, which will be coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. If 128GB of storage does not suffice for your media consumption needs, the same can be expanded with the help of an external SD card allowing storage expansion by up to 512GB.

The quad-camera setup is the same 64MP primary lens with f/1.8 aperture, a 5MP depth sensor with f/2.2 aperture, a 5MP macro lens with f/2.4 aperture, and an 8MP ultra-wide lens with f/2.2 aperture found on the Galaxy M31.
At the front, the Samsung Galaxy M Prime will come with a 32MP selfie snapper, which will be located underneath a waterdrop notch. The front camera will support features like Front Slo-mo, 4K video recording, AR Doodle, and AR Emoji.
Coming to the battery of the device, the Samsung Galaxy M Prime will flaunt a large 6,000mAh battery, which will have scope for up to 15W of fast charging over a USB Type-C charging port. By the way, the device will come bundled with a 15W fast charger.

Other highlights of the M31 Prime include a 3.5mm headphone jack. In the software department, the Samsung Galaxy M Prime will likely boot Android 10 based OneUI skin out of the box.We are yet to know what new features Samsung has added that warrants it to be called “Prime”. We expect more details to surface before the launch of the phone whose date is also unknown.
